Sustainable Forestry – a commitment not only on paper!

WE THINK FIRST AND THEN ACT

In accordance with the growing awareness of the limited supply of raw materials and energy sources, Heinzel Pöls is committed to the prudent use and sustainable safeguarding of the required natural resources, other production and auxiliary materials, as well as water, air and energy.
We are committed to sustainable forestry and the requirements of international guidelines. The application and adherence to these guidelines comprise of social, economic and ecological contributions to preserving forests.

One of the most important resources is wood, a natural product. It serves as the raw material needed to produce our pulp and paper, but it is also first and foremost a provider of energy.
Heinzel Pöls comprehensively takes the high value creation derived from the material and bioenergetic use of wood into account. 95 percent of the CO2 emissions arising from the production process consist of biogenic or neutral CO2. This makes a considerable contribution to the avoidance of harmful greenhouse gas emissions.

Heinzel Pöls is committed to responsible forestry and the standards contained in the FSC® and PEFC guidelines. The application and adherence to these guidelines comprise social, economic and ecological contributions to preserving forests.

The pulp production process is confirmed by the following certificates:

  • FSC®: HFA-COC 100026, HFA-CW-100026, FSC-C023020
  • PEFC: HFA-PEFC-COC-0036, Lizenz PEFC/06-33-126
